HARRY IGNATIUS KOROBCHUK December 23, 1917 - August 12, 2007 It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on a beautiful, sunny summer morning. Harry left us suddenly on the wings of an Angel, after a brief illness on Sunday, August 12, 2007. Harry will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew him but most of all by his wife and partner in life for the last 60 years, Sylvia. He also leaves behind two daughters, Carol Rousseau (Denis) and Joan Pokorny (Roland) as well as grandchildren, Simone Tetrault (Rene), Suzanne Ward (Greg), Kelly Pokorny and Scott Pokorny and great-grandchildren, Britney, Devin, Colin and Justin. Harry was a kind and gentle man who made friends everywhere he went but what was most precious to him was his family. Harry would do anything to ensure his family's safety and happiness. He was a true family man. Harry was employed by Air Canada for 37 years where he made many lifelong friends while he painted the airplanes first for T.C.A. and then later for Air Canada. He enjoyed and took pride in his work and gave us many stories to remember about his journey through life. A celebration of his life will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Thursday, August 16 at 3:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Denis Rousseau, Roland Pokorny, Rene Tetrault, Greg Ward, Scott Pokorny and Gregory Pacheco. You can shed a tear that he is gone, Or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and Pray that he will come back, Or you can open your eyes and See that he has left. Your heart can be empty because You can't see him, Or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow And live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow Because of yesterday, You can remember him and Only that he's gone, Or you can cherish his memory And let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, Be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what he would want, Smile, open your eyes, love and go on. We will all love and miss you forever. Thank you for all the beautiful memories. The family would like to thank the nurses of #4 Unit 9 at Seven Oaks Hospital, especially Lorna, Lisa and Marg.
