JOAN HOURIE May 12, 1940 August 10, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Nanny and Great-Grandma on August 10, 2007, at the Selkirk and District General Hospital, at the age of 67. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four children, Darlene (Mike) Harris, Brad (Cynthia), Sheila (Carl) King, and Susan (Ed) Freeman and her adopted son Chris Bakosti. Grandchildren, Relene, Laura, Melissa, Dylan, Keri, Cindy, Shaelyn, Chad, Brenden and Brooklyn. Her great-grandchildren, Kyla, Katelyn and Landen. Her siblings, Arthur (Linda), Ray, Sylvia and Lorne (Linda), as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Ida and Calvin Webb, grandson Michael, and sister-in-law Sandra. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Antonenko, Teresa Hnatiuk, Leona Palmer and the nursing staff on the medicine ward at the Selkirk and District General Hospital for all their care and compassion they showed to our Mom, whose smile and loving hands provided comfort to her during her stay. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at St. Judes Anglican Church in Grand Marais. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Mom's memory can be made to the Selkirk and District General Hospital Palliative Care or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
