Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLENN ANDREW YALLITS September 26, 1947 - August 12, 2007 On August 12, 2007, Glenn Andrew Yallits passed away peacefully at the Concordia Hospital, with his family by his side. He was 59 years old. Glenn was predeceased by his beloved Anita in 1998, and awhile later lost his dog Maxie. He leaves to mourn his parents, Victor and Wally; sister karla (Winston) and brother Keith (Sheri). He also leaves behind his special nieces, Trisha (Kevin), Jessica (Travis) and Meghan; great-nephews, Tyler and Christopher; his special pals, Peanut and Beurre, and numerous close friends and extended family. Glenn lived most of his life in Elmwood. He attended River Elm School until Grade 5 and then went to St. Gerard's. He graduated from Elmwood High School in 1966 and took a job at Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. Glenn had several other jobs over the next few years. He had many pleasant memories of these years when he roomed with his Uncle Butch at 560 Herbert. In 1975 Glenn joined Canada Post where he worked as a mail handler. He retired after 30 years in 2005. Glenn loved his interactions with people. He was known to all who loved him as Uncle Glennie . If you were fortunate enough to have known Glennie, you knew that he had the biggest heart in the world. He was generous to a fault and would help out anyone who needed it. He also loved all animals, especially dogs. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at the Concordia Hospital, I.C.U. Unit, especially Susan and Jeff, Glenn's nurses, for their kindness and compassion to Glenn, making his last hours comfortable and peaceful. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to any animal charity of your choice.
