TAMMY CONSTANCE GELEAN (LITTLE WILLY) In Loving memory October 5, 1973 - August 11, 2007 Connie passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 11, 2007. Her presence will be forever felt and her kind, loving, gentle, caring and generous spirit will remain in the hearts of: her father Larry Albert Gelean, her mother Constance Evelyn Gelean, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Gale, Heath and Lorelei, David; her nieces and nephews, Tamatha, Brie-Anne, Taylor, Gunther and Gage. From Tamatha - Connie and I had just rekindled a lost family tie and although we were not always together we were on each others minds. When we are re-introduced to family it's hard to think of the years we've already missed, but to lose them so suddenly is even worse. The memories I have of her now I will always cherish, but I wish we could have made more. I'll miss you From Brie-Anne Today is an ending and a beginning. For everyone that knows you to feel pain and for you not to. I'm mad at you for leaving. I hate how I feel like two years of knowing you wasn't enough. I hate this because I'm not ready for you to go. Selfish? More than I thought I could ever be - I hate how all I think about is all the things I never did or say. So if you're listening; thank you for being there for me. I love you. From Taylor - I loved going for walks, going to movies, laughing and talking together, baking with her, doing auntie's make-up and trying new hairdo's and riding in her wheelchair, playing in the sprinkler and her hugs and kisses. From Gunther - I loved the sprinkler, colouring, going to movies, teaching me to make macaroni shells, going for walks - especially to the pet store and riding in her wheelchair, and her hugs and kisses. From Gage: Where's Auntie Connie? I loved when you took me for rides in your wheelchair and ran through the sprinklers. I loved Pooper'. Auntie always gave me Pepsi and hugs and kisses. Her main concern in life was the happiness and well-being of her family. She treasured the bonds she was forming and had formed with her two nieces Tamatha and Brie-Anne. She thoroughly and completely enjoyed the ten years she assisted in the caring and upbringing of Taylor, Gunther and Gage. She treasured them as if they were her own children. From infancy to present, Connie made many friends and brought joy to everyone she came in contact with. Connie especially enjoyed her endless ventures around the city with her confidant and chauffeur Paul Raymundo of Preferred Transport. Paul gave Connie their family guinea pig (Pooper) to love and care for. The two of them developed a loving bond, giving her many pleasurable hours each day. Connie had a very special relationship with her best friend Adele Jones. Adele was the sister Connie never had. They enjoyed sharing both laughter and tears, movies and dinners, and intimate talks in the comfort of Connie's home. Adele was a blessing in Connie's life. Connie graduated Grade 12 at the Selkirk Manitoba Comp. Connie volunteered and then later became employed at Reaching Equality, knowing that she was helping not only individuals but society as a whole. She is loved and will be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be met at Heaven's Gate by many family members that loved and cared for her. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Reaching Equality - Employment Services for Persons with Disabilities. Although the family grieves the loss of our beloved, we celebrate the new life she is now experiencing, freed from her disability. We love you and we will miss you until we meet again. Farewell Service on Thursday, August 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wayside Gospel Chapel, Grand Marais, MB. Lunch to follow at the Grand Marais Rec Hall.
