JOHN ZUK March 1, 1913 - August 14, 2007 In the early hours of Tuesday, August 14 at Concordia General Hospital, surrounded by the love of family far and near and with his grandson Reid by his side, John passed away peacefully at the age of 94. Left to cherish his memory are sons, Jerry (Dorothy), Jule (Joan), and daughter Diane (Terry) Edgeworth, grandchildren, Shelley (Ken), Patti (Curtis), Kevin (Joanne), Brian (Cheryl), Andrea (Troy), Reid (Trish) and Brooke (Darren), great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kayla, Drew, Justin, Daren, Graham, Quinn, Austin, Taryn and Shay. John was predeceased by his wife Anne in January 1997. John immigrated to Winnipeg from the Ukraine with Anne and infant son Jerry in 1939. He started his own business North End Auto Spring, which he ran successfully with son Jule until retiring at age 75. John was a devoted husband of 60 years who never stopped missing Anne. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather who asked little for himself and always put his family's needs ahead of his own. He approached life with great determination and integrity. His strong work ethic and perseverance in everything he attempted are a legacy he has left his family. John's approach to solving any problem was only can try . We will all miss his wisdom and guidance but know that these things will still be sent in spirit to each of us. The family would like to thank the staff and neighbours at Donwood for their love and care so generously given to John over the past years. In accordance to John's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Friends who wish to honour John's memory may make a donation to the St. Boniface Hospital Pacemaker Clinic or The Children's Wish Foundation.
