Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I would like to take a moment and pay my respects to a woman who was like a second mother to me, a woman whose strength, courage, and ability to see the good in all people has shaped me into the woman I am today. I am truly blessed to have had Dorothy Graham as my godmother. I fondly remember how she would switch my hot chocolate between two cups in an effort to ensure that it was cool enough for me to drink. She was the only person who could do this so successfully! I also recall how she would take the time to appreciate the simplest things, making them into noteworthy occasions. Her laughter will be missed, her steadfast and fearless disposition are attributes that will live on forever in my heart. I remember the sadness her passing caused for my mother, who described her as her "confidante, her best friend, her all". I now gain comfort in knowing that they are both now together, watching over us all. I truly have been blessed to have had these two wonderful female role models in my life, and cherish each and every moment I had with them. - Posted by: Amanda G (Goddaughter ) on: Feb 10, 2013
