ISABELLA WHITE (nee CHRISTIE) Ella White passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre on August 17, 2007, at the age of 92. She will be remembered with pride and affection by son Bryan (Lynda); grandchildren Doug (Tara), Don (Treena), Brent (Trisha) and Rob (Nicole) and great-grandchildren Kari, Parker, Max, Lily, Mason and Eden. She was predeceased by her parents Jessie and Frank Christie, her husband Les and brothers Frank and Rodger. Born in Scotland, Ella moved with her parents at the age of 9 to Winnipeg. In 1949, she married Les and they lived in Moose Jaw, Regina, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Toronto until her return to Winnipeg in 1973 following his death. During that time she worked in various administrative and secretarial positions. Since retirement, her focus has been with family and friends. She cherished the times spent at the family cottage on Welcome Channel in the Lake of the Woods and loved dearly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her spirit will remain with the entire family. Special thanks to the entire staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for their care and attention. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg.
