VICTOR ALLEN FREDERICK (TORREY) LEE It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Torrey, aged 64, husband to Gloria, father to Shaunna (Paul) Kombargi, Stewart and Kevin (Paula) Lee, grandfather to Cori, Taylor and Haley, big brother to Carol (Peter) Kennedy, Doug (Hazel) Lee, Janice (Brad) Lowe and Jim (Donna) Lee, on August 3, 2007, in Victoria, BC. Torrey was retired from a 33-year career in the military in Comox, BC. He spent most of those years in different aspects of Search and Rescue. In 1992, he was awarded the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of Confederation, which honoured Canadians who had made a significant contribution to their fellow citizens, to their community or to Canada. After his retirement, he taught computer classes, first at the base and then as a volunteer at Elder College. A memorial service celebrating his life took place August 10, 2007, in Comox, BC. He was a kind, generous and caring man with a wonderful sense of humour. We will miss Torrey greatly.
