VERA ERICKSON It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of our dear mother, sister and grandmother, Vera Erickson on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 81. She is survived by her children, Garry (Linda), Maryann, Anthony and Andrew (Edith) of Winnipeg and Paul (Bridget) of Nashville; sister Pat (Don) Knudsen, and nephews, Michael, Kerry and Christopher; grandchildren, Brent and Kristen of Winnipeg and Jake, Nicholas and Kurt of Nashville, and her dear friends, Cordy Thomaschewski (Anton) and Adina Penner. Mom worked as a hairdresser and later as a sales clerk at Eaton's and in 1944 worked in the Cordite Plant. She also served as President of Catholic Women's League of our Lady of Victory Parish and Highland Dancer's Association. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Our family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses of the St. Boniface Cardiac Care Unit and B5 Ward for their incredible care and compassion shown to Mom.
