LUCIE TROTTIER It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Lucie Trottier cherished sister and aunt. She passed away peacefully on August 16, 2007, at the age of 90 years at Foyer Valade. Her beloved nieces Lorraine Coyle and Jacqueline Renaud were at her side. She was predeceased by her father and mother Elie and Georgina Trottier; brothers, Elie (Berthe), Georges (Kay), Joseph (Mary), Denis, Henri (Louise), Dr. Léon (Terry); her sisters, Thérèse LaFlèche (Armand Sr.) and Sister Mélina Trottier, S.G.M. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lucie was born and attended school in St. Norbert and later moved to Winnipeg. During her working career, she was a homemaker for her father after her mother passed away. For many years she worked as the receptionist for Dr. D. Bracken as well as Dr. H. Mather in the Medical Arts Building. Earlier, she worked at the Fort Garry Clinic. Lucie was a long-time parishioner at Holy Rosary Church. A funeral mass will be held at that church, 510 River Avenue in Winnipeg on Tuesday, August 21 at 10:00 a.m. presided by Father Sam Argenziano. Interment to follow in the family plot at St. Norbert Cemetery. The family wishes to sincerely thank all staff members at both Foyer Valade and Rosewood for the kind and attentive care extended to Lucie during the past few years and especially to those who tended to her so compassionately during her final illness. Lucie's family would like to express heartfelt thanks for the loving kindness and friendship shown by Marguerite Tonn and Helen Verville with whom she shared a special bond. Flowers gratefully declined.
