ADELINE STROHAN With saddened hearts, we regret to announce that Adeline Strohan passed away quietly in the evening of July 28, 2007. She said her final good-byes with all her five sons present, Wayne, Richard, Dwight, Larry and Neil, at her bedside, along with spouses and grandchildren and longtime co-worker and good friend Mette Olsen. Adeline (Addy) and Mette shared many years together at the Richmond Inn and many laughs were enjoyed together as well. The two remained close friends after retirement. Adeline enjoyed and cherished family gatherings whether it be Christmas, birthdays or other. She especially looked forward to getting together with her three sisters Marion, Elsie, and Joyce, the golden girls, as she referred to them. Together they would spend hours talking, laughing and reminiscing about old times and good memories. As sisters they shared a special bond with one another that will always be in our hearts. Adeline will be long remembered for being a good wife, good mom and worked very hard to support her family. Mom's home cooking was second to none and was always a delightful treat at the dinner table. Adeline was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Alex Strohan. Snowbirds for many years, together they would travel south and camp in the sunny warm state of Arizona, soaking up the sun. Loving mother and grandmother of Wayne and his wife Val, and their children Chad, Troy and his wife Robin; Richard and his wife Linda and their children Douglas and Darryl; Dwight and his wife Karrie, and their children Bradley, Christine and her husband Ed and their children Danielle and Kristen; Larry and his wife Sabine, and their daughter Danielle; Neil and his wife Sabina and their children Jacob and Morgan. She will be sadly missed by her three sisters, Marion Walker (John); Elsie Dorosh (Alex); Joyce Hanson; and two brothers, Danny Kalawarney (Karen); and Eddie and Shirley Kalawarney. Predeceased by her parents Tony and Lena Kalawarney. A celebration will be held August 27, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at the Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831-28 Avenue, Surrey, BC. Flowers gratefully declined; rather a donation in Adeline's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We all love her and we will truly miss her REST IN PEACE Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre 604-536-6522 www.victorymemorialpark.com
