MARY NEUFELD (FRIESEN) May 24, 1929 - August 17, 2007 Peacefully on August 17, 2007, Mary went to be with Jesus. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Peter; her children and their families, Brenda (Loren) Pullman, Sherelle, Stephen and Brady, Karen Neufeld and Lois (Terry) Wiebe, Leslie and Tanner; her brothers, and sisters, Jack (Julie) Friesen, Anne (Norman) Moffat, Frieda Tschetter, Don (Margo) Friesen, Chris Friesen and Lloyd Betker and their families along with numerous friends and extended family members. Mary was predeceased by her parents Henry and Elizabeth, two sisters Helen Elaine and Betty and one brother Hank. Mary will be remembered for her nurturing and caring spirit. Many have been influenced by the strong example of her unwavering faith in Christ. Her heart always seemed to have room for one more and her arms welcomed many a weary soul. She was an encouragement to those she encountered whether at home, at church or during her years in the workplace at Eaton's and the Grace Hospital. Thankfully she enjoyed a life of good health and only in the last month, felt the strain of illness. The family is deeply grateful to the paramedics, and the staff and nurses at the Grace Hospital, who demonstrated kindness and concern for her. Special thanks to Dr. Hutfluss , Dr. MacCammon, Dr. Harris, and Dr. Zabolotny for seeing her as a person and not just a patient. A viewing service will be held Monday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Chapel, 2146 Main St. for anyone wishing to attend. Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the Portage Avenue MB Church, 1420 Portage Ave. Private interment (immediate family only) Thank you for sending notes of encouragement and flowers if desired, donations may be made to the Gideon Bible Society.
