GRACE HEDLEY BROWN On Sunday, August 19, 2007, at the age of 91, Mom, Granny and Great-Granny passed away at Bethesda Place in Steinbach. She was born in Morpeth, England, and immigrated to Canada in 1924 at the age of 8 with her parents John and Emily Snowball and younger brother, Edward. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Jean Bateman, three grandchildren: Robert (Sina), Bruce (Kim) and Kathy along with 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Walter (1993), her son-in-law Willard (2003) and brother Ed (2005). In her own quiet way Mom loved her family. She was farm girl through and through. After retirement she enjoyed many winters spent in Texas with Dad. A memorial service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, on Friday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. with ash interment at a later date at the Emerson Cemetery. A special thank you goes out to the entire staff of Bethesda Place for their care and attention to Mom.
