CONRADO B. MENDEZ II May 18, 1952 - August 18, 2007 With broken hearts and profound sorrow, we say goodbye to a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who died suddenly, at the age of 55, on August 18, 2007, at Seven Oaks Hospital. Always cherishing Conrado's memory are his wife, Loida; children, Jerrich, Jairemaine (Jackie-Lou), Jyllel and Jyllen; grandchildren, Kalynne, Kaleigh, Kalvin, and Mikaela; sisters, Josephine, Margarita, and Margaret; brother Mariano; as well as countless relatives, co-workers, and friends. He took such pride in his children and grandchildren and never turned down an opportunity to spend time with them. As a compassionate and caring person he was always ready to lend a helping hand no matter how tired he was. Conrado always looked for and found the best in everyone. He was a people person and always put others before himself. Besides his family and friends, Conrado loved the outdoors. Whether it was gardening, camping, or pointing out all the different kinds of trees and plants, he just simply loved the feeling of the outdoors. Camping trips with the family was an enjoyable time for him; no matter where he went, he went there with a smiling face. The viewing (Lamay) will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007, and Friday, August 24, 2007, 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, located at 1020 Main Street. The funeral service in celebration of Conrado's life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward's Church, located at 808 Arlington Street. • My younger brother was "Forester" in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region IV, later resigned and settled in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada in early 90's. He graduated BS Forestry at Gregorio Araneta Foundation University in Malabon Rizal, Philippines. He was the youngest in the Family of our Late Father Conrado Barros Mendez and Mother Estrellana Asencio Bagoyo of Bangued and Dolores, Abra. Our sisters Carmelita,Josephine,Julieta, and brother the late Mansueto, who died earlier in Dec. 8, 2005. With myself, Mariano the third eldest. We call him "Tikboy" and "Jonjon" by his friends and officemates. He was kind and simple person who had respect for the elders, most for his family. I missed him after 2005 in his Anniversary Wedding Vow, that was the last time I saw him and now has joined his Creator, our Lord and God Jesus Christ. May he Rest in Peace! Amen. - Posted by: Mariano Bagoyo Mendez (Big Brother) on: Mar 14, 2013
