PETER DOUGLAS FUSSEY It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandpa on August 21, 2007, after a brief battle with cancer. Peter passed away peacefully at home, as per his wishes. Born December 24, 1930, in Wimbleton, England, to Stanley and Violet Fussey, Peter was the little brother to Betty and Molly. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his companion and second wife of 26 years, Willa; his children, Robert (Marilyn), Steve (Pat) and Sandra; six grandchildren, Stephen, Sarah, Owen, Tanya, Chase and Marshall. Also left to mourn his passing are sisters, Betty (Len) Charman of Thornfield, England, and Molly Baigent of Victoria, BC; in-laws Diane and Ed Heinrichs, Pat and Ken Arbuckle, Jean and Ellis Wheaton, and Bob Mason and Esther Lavallee; numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of the pond ; his faithful canine companion Snoopy; good friends Sandy and Marcel, Leah and Gary, Bonnie and Rob, and Jim and Yvonne. Peter worked various jobs over the course of his life, from working on the first British satelite, making protype toys, working in Toronto on the Avro Arrow, and finally as the sheet metal training officer at Bristol Aerospace, from which he retired in March 1994, after 26 years of service. Peter was an avid reader and story teller. He loved to tell stories of his childhood in London during the Second World War, his many ghost sightings, and his lucky jackpot wins in Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25 at MacKenzie's Funeral Home, 433 Main St., Stonewall, Manitoba, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Warren Cemetery, with lunch to follow at the Warren Hall. If a man were to know the end of this day's business err it come, but it suffices that the day will end, and then the end be known, and if we meet again, well then we'll smile, and if not, well then this parting was well made. Arrangements by: MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall.
