Born: Sep 10, 1944
Date of Passing: Aug 22, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN MARGARET HALDANE-WILSONE (nee Rudolph) It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you that on Wednesday August 22, 2007, our angel, Kathleen Margaret Haldane-Wilsone suddenly passed away at the age of 63 years. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Charles Rae Haldane-Wilsone; their children Kristie Levandoski, husband Mel and grandsons Austin and Reese; Rick Haldane-Wilsone, wife Pat, granddaughters Kaitlyn and Jocelyn; Amie Haldane-Wilsone, husband Kevin Fifer, grandson Liam and granddaughter Emily; and Anna Almonte, husband Antonio Jr., granddaughters Abigail and Andi. Kathy was born on September 10, 1944 in London, England near the end of the Second World War. Kathy and her mom, Marie, immigrated to Canada to meet up with her father Arthur William Rudolph in the Northern, Ontario community of Fort Frances. Arthur, a Canadian soldier, had returned to Canada with the rest of the troops and waited patiently for them to be reunited. What an adventure it must have been for mom and daughter to leave England and immigrate to Canada during those times. War brides will only truly understand. Kathy's parents have since deceased. Kathy was the eldest of five children and is survived by three of them: Donald, Arthur, and Aimee. Kathy was an extremely dedicated mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending her days spoiling her grandchildren, and then sending them home to be unspoiled by their parents. This cycle would repeat. Kathy loved to spend time watching them play hockey, dance, sing, and really enjoyed teaching them the fine art of how to make chocolate chip cookies. She had a love for fraternal organizations which included the Eastern Star. She also attained the office of Princess Royal in the Daughters of the Nile. She particularly enjoyed her time in the Sphinx Tambourine Unit. She attained the office of Worthy High Priestess in 2003 of the Althea Shrine No. 2, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Winnipeg. As well, mom became a life member of the Winnipeg Citizens Band Radio Club. She always put her family first always doing what ever it took to help her children and husband succeed. Whether it was driving us four kids all over the City to hockey, figure skating, or other sporting events, or bringing us tea late at night while we were studying for University. Somehow she managed to keep her sanity and do it all with a smile. Kathy had a heart of gold. Mom, we will always miss you. You have left your imprint on all of us. We hope that while you are watching from above, we continue to make you proud. A memorial service will be held at the Victoria Inn, Embassy Room, at 1808 Wellington Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Foundation, 420 Corydon Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0N8. neil bardal inc. 949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
