GEORGE ALEXANDER GORDON SMITH Suddenly on the morning of August 10, 2007 we lost Gord our brother, uncle, friend. He was predeceased by his parents Ainsworth in l992 and Doris April 17, 2007. Survived by his sister Gaye (Lindsay Matthews), niece Caroline (Paul Taylor), nephew Richard (Katrina), Lewis and Charolette, grandson Jeff (Amy), Kyle, Kolby and Emily, niece Tricia (Bryan Grant), brother John (Sharron), nephew Dean and Dean's mom Pat, sister Dianne (Gary Borger), nephew Alex, niece Solene and Gord's stepson Trevor. Also survived by cousins Joanne, Pattie, Bob, Tom, Karen and Bruce. Gord was born in Winnipeg, May 31, 1947. He lived in Toronto and Vancouver always returning to his family and friends in Winnipeg. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and attended as many school and sporting events as possible. Gord had many, many friends and could often be found at the Silver Heights Restaurant for his favourite Saturday afternoon buffet. He was an avid sports fan and had season tickets to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for many years with his mom Doris and friend Ken. The Family is very grateful to Gord for staying with our Mother, Doris for the last years of her life. Mom was able to stay in her home due to Gord's amazing generous nature. He will be dearly missed by us all. No flowers please.
