NORAH MEADOWS BAILEY (nee SMITH) On August 14, 2007, Norah passed away at Riverview Health Centre. She was 93. Norah is lovingly remembered by her sons Bill (Gloria) and David (Carol); grandchildren Robert, Daryl, Brent and Erin. She is survived by sisters-in-law Molly Bailey and Jean Bailey and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Susan (Meadows) Smith; her husband Bob; sister Phyllis Smith and brothers Bill and George Smith. Mom was born on May 23, 1914, in Wilkie, Saskatchewan. She married Bob Bailey on September 10, 1938, in Arborg, Manitoba. Dad worked for the Searle Grain Company and, as a result, they lived in 12 different homes in 8 different towns and cities until his passing in 1984. Mom returned to Winnipeg in 1988 and lived independently until a fall in 2004 at the age of 90. A sister, wife, mother, grandmother, classy lady and gentle soul. we will miss you. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Riverview Health Centre for the personal and professional care given to Mom over the last two years. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 881 Autumnwood Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
