AIME JOSEPH EMILE DUPUIS Aimé fought his battle with emphysema with great strength and fortitude. Sadly, Dad succumbed to the illness, with his family at his side, on August 23, 2007. Aimé was born on April 30, 1931 in St. Jean Baptiste to Joseph-Wilfrid and Marie Louise (Gagné) Dupuis, where he resided for all his 76 years. Aimé was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Roger, Ulysse, and sister Thérèse; sisters-in-law, Leontine and Rose-Marie; and brother-in-law Edmond Bouchard. He is survived by his children, Denis (Joan), Donald (Kathy), Luc, and Lise; grandchildren, Shawn (Renee), Chad (Jennifer), Breanne (Chris), Amy, Robert, Marcel, and René; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Nate, Anna, and Emma; former spouse Jeannine; siblings, Théodore (Germaine), Alida, René (Roma Marie), Jean-Guy (Jeannette); sister-in-law Jeannine, Gérard (Irene), and Arthur; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and special little friends, Calista and Kiera Wiens. Dad worked as a grain buyer for over 30 years, most of which were spent with N. M. Paterson Sons Ltd. Dad always had an eye out for a deal, and was an astute businessman. He loved the growing season, and one of his passions was gardening. There will be viewing for family and friends at Morris Funeral Home today (Saturday) from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with cremation to follow. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church on Monday August 27 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations may be made in Aimé's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association. The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Morris General Hospital, and to Jeannette and Jean-Guy Dupuis for all their visits and comfort.
