Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE-THERESE NOONAN Peacefully, in her sleep with rosary in hand, Marie-Thérèse Noonan, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Marie- Thérèse was born September 14, 1922, in St. Boniface, Manitoba, to Georges and Gabrielle Blanc. She spent her childhood years in St. Boniface, attending St. Joseph's Academy and later went on to receive her teaching diploma. She married Leo Noonan on January 18, 1947, after which they moved to Perth, Ontario, where they operated their own grocery business until 1951. They relocated many times after Leo joined Canada Safeway - St. Boniface, Fort Frances (1955 to 1964), back to St. Boniface, Mississauga, St. Boniface then Fort Frances in 1971 as owners of La Place Rendez-Vous - their final home. Thérèse always supported and shared in her husband's passions, whether it be the Rendez-Vous or CESO (Canadian Executive Services Overseas). She was a person of deep faith and an active member of St. Mary's Parish and the CWL. But what she cherished most of all was being a mother. She took great pride and joy in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thérèse will be dearly missed by her son Gerard (Shelly) and their children Chelsey (Russell), Christopher (Karina), Kathleen (Kevin), Jenny, and Colleen (Larry); son Paul (Diane) and their children Michael (Kelly), Christine (Bob) and Sarah; and daughter Bernadette (Brian) and their children Robert (Jessica), Peter (Faith), David and Matthew; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, in-laws, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Leo (2004) and five children, Lorraine-Adele, Michael, Robert, Joseph and Christine Marie. Prayers and viewing will be held Monday, August 27 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Fort Frances, ON. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Francis Pudicherry. The family will inter Thérèse's ashes at a later date. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons: Christopher Noonan, Michael Noonan and Robert, Peter, David, and Matthew Moen. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to St. Mary's Building in Faith Campaign, 206 Victoria Ave., Fort Frances, ON P9A 2B9, or Fort Frances Community Chest, 1201 Idylwild Dr., B-2, RR#2, Fort Frances, ON P9A 3M3, or in care of Green Funeral Home, Box 427, Fort Frances, ON P9A 3M8. ...
