Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORI EILEEN MASTALER 1957 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wife and mother Lori Mastaler on Saturday, August 25, 2007. She is survived by her husband Greg, daughter Tammy Laderoute (Joey) and family Tristan and Mya, a son Zain Mastaler as well as brother Graig Longmuir, sister Karen Weger (Rob). Lori was predeceased by her parents Don Longmuir and Donna Draper and by her brother Brent Longmuir. Lori enjoyed the outdoors and when her children were younger, the family enjoyed many camping and canoeing trips together. She spent many years attending her kids' hockey and baseball games and was an avid player herself, having played with the Lagers women's slo pitch team for a number of years. Lori was also an active curler for many years with the Beausejour Curling Club. Until her health began to fail, Lori was employed at Pharmasave in Beausejour for several years. It was a job she enjoyed and was a friendly face to all who knew her there. Lori was very proud of her children and their many accomplishments. It gave her great pleasure to see them happy and doing the things they wanted to in their lives. Being a grandmother was Lori's favourite role. She adored her two grandchildren, Tristan and Mya and delighted in lavishing attention on them and spoiling them with treats at every opportunity. Lori was a devoted fan of both kids' many activities and was a constant presence at their hockey and soccer games. Both kids had a special relationship with Grandma and cherished times spent with her. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. from Russell Funeral Home, 437 Park Ave., Beausejour, Manitoba, with Fr. Martin Bradbury officiating. The family would like to thank the homecare workers for the exceptional care they gave to Lori, allowing her to keep her dignity and to remain at home. They went above and beyond for her and we are eternally grateful to them for that. We also wish to express our thanks to the doctors, nurses and the support staff workers of the Beausejour Hospital for all the care and kindness shown towards her. A special thank you to Lori's sister-in-law Sharon Freeman and mother-in-law Elsie Mastaler for all of their help during the difficult times. If friends so desire memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Beausejour District Hospital, Beausejour, Manitoba R0E 0C0. RUSSELL'S of Beausejour, Manitoba are in care of arrangements.
