Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORNE EMERY DAYMENT 1912 - 2007 On August 26, 2007, Lorne Dayment passed away at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 94, after a stoic fight with cancer. He had a full and blessed life and was content to release his soul to God. He was predeceased by his loving wife Merle (Pennington); and his brothers, Ralph and Bruce. He will be remembered by his three daughters, Bette Serger, Mary Lynne (Bill) Whiteside and Jean Salter. His memory is also cherished by his grandchildren, Lisa (Dan) Flather, Kevin (Louise) Whiteside, Lorna (Mervin) Spitzke and Sarah and Joseph Salter. He also leaves four great-grandchildren, Scott and Katie Whiteside and Carson and Nathan Spitzke. He is also survived by his loving sister Ruth Stewart. Lorne's lifetime career was with Canada Packers. He had a keen interest in singing, especially in the Winnipeg Seniors Choir Happy Homesteaders Group. Lorne was an active member of the Fort Garry United Church for many years.
