Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS ANDREW (DOUG) PARK 1927 - 2007 Peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2007, Doug Park, aged 79 years, dearly beloved husband of Iris June Park (nee Arnett), passed away. Doug leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 56 years, Iris; his children Kim (Nancy), Robin Tetreault (Yvon), April (Glen), Vicky (Rob); his grandchildren Doug (Melissa), Robert (Janice), Chris (Carrie), Dan (Leslie), Darryl (Jenna), Joey (Jasmine), and Kayla; his great-grandchildren Brooke, Taylor and Ethan; his mother-in-law Mildred Arnett; his brother Jim (Marilyn); also many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Dad was predeceased by his son Timothy in infancy; father and mother Herbert and Daisy Park; his brothers Earl, Alan, Lloyd, Max, Len; one sister Beulah Park; and his great-grandchildren Andrew and Francis in infancy. Doug was employed by Reimer Express Lines for 30 years until his retirement in 1994. After Dad retired, he took up golfing and enjoyed his time on the golf course with his family. He also was able to spend time enjoying his other favourite pastime, which was fishing. Dad cherished spending time with his family and friends. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons St., with Reverend Brad Elliot officiating. Interment to follow in the Carman Cemetery, Carman, Manitoba. Pallbearers will be his son Kim, grandsons Dougie, Chris, Danny, Darryl and Joey. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, and the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
