GEORGE CLIFFORD NICKLIN January 10, 1927 - August 29, 2007 On Wednesday, August 29, 2007, George passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital surrounded by his family, after a battle with cancer. He was 80 years old. He leaves behind his loving wife Rose of 58 years, his son Roger (wife Lila), daughter Melody Adams (husband Murray), two granddaughters Shannon and Jennifer. He also has only one brother James Nicklin, sister-in-law, Dorothy of Neapeau, Ontario; three nieces Ainsley Jennings, Eleanor Graziane (Pedro) Saint-Laurent, PQ, Linda Kelly (Gordon), Neapeau, Ontario; five nephews, Jim Jr. and wife Tina Neapeau, Ontario, Rob Jennings, Kennie Jennings, Jim Jennings, Brian Jennings all of Winnipeg; also his brothers-in-law Bill Jennings, wife Alma, Ron Jennings wife Bev, Tom Jennings wife Fern of Winnipeg. George was predeceased by his mother-in-law Lucy Jennings on December 25, 2005. George worked for Gulf Oil for 42 years, retiring at the young age of 58. Dad loved his lawn and working on little jobs around the house. He loved doing puzzles with mom in the Free Press, playing dominos for hours with Roger, Lila and Mom always wanting to win. We will surely miss you Dad, Rest in Peace. The Nicklin family would like to thank the doctors that looked after dad, Dr. Nason, Dr. Sathya CancerCare Manitoba, Dr. J. Weins, Dr. F. Bovell and assistant, and all the nurses that showed great passion and T.L.C. to Dad, his special nurse Jenna at the Grace Hospital and Health Sciences Centre. We all truly appreciated the care given to Dad. Thanks- again. At Dad's request a private family service will be held.
