GERRY (J.R.) CHAGNON Suddenly on August 26, 2007, we regret to announce the passing of our dear son, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. Gerry was born August 4, 1961, in Selkirk, MB, and raised in Great Falls, MB. He will be sadly missed by his parents Margaret and Gerry Sr., his children Tasha, Angela and Dustin; grandchildren Sabashtian and Alexander; brothers Paul (Sheila), Ron (Linda), Roger (Donna), and Kelly (Maryanne); sisters Cecile (Randy) and Leona; as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends. Gerry had spent 15 years at Pine Falls paper mill, partly as a foreman, and then was a carpenter that did mostly roofing, but he could do any kind of work. Gerry enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and being with his family and friends in his back yard, which he called his park. He was such a comedian, he could make everyone laugh around him. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at the Notre Dame du Lac Parish Church, Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, with Fr. M. Szynal presiding. Services to terminate at the church with cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be Leonard Abdilla, Dave Slater, Hank Siegel, Allan Henderson, Ron Chagnon and Robert Slater.
