CAROLINA MARY DEOBALD May 13, 1946 - August 27, 2007 After a long and courageous battle against cancer, Carol is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Glenn, daughters, Tamatha (Mike) and Teri-Ann (Greg), son Curtis (Kathleen) and grandchildren, Madison and Connor. Carol was a very special person who always put her family first. She loved the simple beauties in life ... the mountains, the water, admiring the scenery during a drive, going for walks, watching birds and butterflies, and enjoying quiet times reading. Our thanks to all the doctors and kind hearts who helped her along her journey. Carol was very appreciative of all your care, thoughtfulness and kindness. Carol's wish was for all of us to celebrate her life, to rejoice in what was and what now is, with a small family service. In honour of her wish, a Celebration of Carol's life was held on Friday, August 31, 2007. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the oncology departments at Victoria General (Winnipeg) or Penticton Hospitals. Thank you for your love and prayers. Carol: The butterfly in all its beauty reminds us of Your grace and freedom now. With closed eyes, we see You among the flowers, Your presence brushes against our skin in the breeze, Your smile beams down with the sun and kisses us in the rain.
