JESSIE SUTHERLAND (nee FARSTAD) The family of Jessie Pauline Sutherland sadly announces her passing on August 28, 2007, at the Victoria General Hospital. Jessie was born on July 14, 1923, in Trondheim, Norway, to John and Anna Farstad. She was predeceased by her loving husband Edwin, her brother Jim, her sister Betty and an infant son. Jessie will be forever remembered by her children Ellen (Rick), Sandra (Glen) and Suzanne; grandchildren Mike, Marc, Jennifer, Stephen and Erik and their families; brother Karl; sister Muriel as well as other extended family and friends. Jessie was an active member of the Scandinavian community. She was well known for her Rosemaling skills and was a volunteer at Folklorama since its inception. Jessie was a longtime member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 4 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (entrance on Aubrey Street), at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Scandinavian Cultural Centre, 764 Erin Street, Winnipeg, MB R3G 2W4, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. neil bardal inc (204) 949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
