ANDREW KLYM August 2, 1942 August 28, 2007 Peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, after a courageous two year battle with cancer, Andrew passed away at home surrounded by his wife Heather, mother-in-law Reta, brother-in-law Bill and very special friend Lori Klassen. Andrew was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Lena; brothers, Paul, Peter, Bill, Alex and Myron; sisters-in-law, Martha Klym and Lynne Morgan; brother-in-law Leonard Krenkevich, and father-in-law Peter Cockriell. Survived to cherish his memory are his sisters, Nettie Krenkevich, Elsie Sherman and special sister Elizabeth Klym; Mel and Dale Gutknecht; Larry and Pat Stright; Bill and Helen Cockriell; Grant Morgan; Dave and Tracey Paradis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply in the years to come. Andrew was born and raised in Sandy Lake, MB, coming to Winnipeg at a young age. He had various jobs, last employer was Fabricare Uniform Rentals. Special Thanks to Craig McIntosh, Ed Futz and staff. Andrew loved life and enjoyed having a cold one with his friends at the Norvilla. His passion was Country and Western music which he enjoyed listening to on the deck. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour and kind heart. The family sincerely thanks the doctors and nurses at Manitoba CancerCare for their incredible care and compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Leylek for his support and comfort. Also to Leslie the artist , her great smile always made Andrew happy during radiation treatments; Candace Meyers for her soothing words of comfort; Dr. P. Daeninck and staff at St. Boniface Pain Clinic; Home Care for their attentive help, especially Laurie who came Wednesdays to look after Andrew and mother-in-law Reta; Palliative care nurses from River East especially Ann whom Andrew had the utmost respect for. Plus all the friends and family who helped Heather through this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Manitoba CancerCare.
