MATTHEW ALBEN GOLAS After a second battle with cancer, on Saturday, August 25, 2007, Matthew passed away peacefully at the age of 77 at the Brotman Hospital in Los Angeles, California. His life's work was farming in his hometown of Fisher Branch (Zbaraz), Manitoba. He was church trustee for many years and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He participated in numerous business organizations. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Baselina, his sisters Vicky and Mary and his brothers Albert, Stanley, Mike and Frank. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 49 years, his five children Nathan, Therese, Philip, Lillian and Angela and his seven grandchildren Genevieve, Matthew, Samuel, Maria, Justin, Jordan and Iris, his sister Adele and his brothers John, Joe and Paul. Rest in peace. Prayers are Sunday, September 2 at 7:30 p.m. and the funeral mass will be held Monday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Fisher Branch, Manitoba.
