FERN DENTON With deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Fern Denton, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, on August 30, 2007, at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Morrie, in 2001, her parents; brothers and daughter-in-law Sharon. Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her sons, Russ (Tessa) and Neil; daughter Susan (Nelson) Rowe; grandchildren, Patricia (Pierre-Francois), Michael (Paige), Christie, Karly, Craig and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Daphne and Rupert; as well as her extended family Mal and Louisa Hughes and their children, Kelly-Rose and Aaron. Fern was born on November 9, 1917 in Ninette, MB. Mom and Dad met while working at the Hudson Bay Company and were married on June 26, 1940. Together they spent their retirement years volunteering for the Children's Hospital with the Teddy Bear boxes. Fern was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed her time with her family. Special thanks to the staff at Misericordia Place for their care given for the last four years. Flowers are gratefully declined.If desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
