OMER GYSEL It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our well loved brother, uncle and friend, Omer on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 60 years. Omer is remembered by his siblings, Albert (Darlene), Eugene (Terry), George (Cathy), Marcel (Barbara), Diane (Kelly) Reid and Simone (Rhyse) Hanson, his nieces and nephews Joanne, Allan (Charlene), Booker, Jennifer (Andrew), Nicole (Tyler), T.J., Stephanie, Michael, Alyson, Taylor, Tim, great-nephew Alex, great-nieces Callie and Maddy as well as his best friends Raul and Suzanne and all of his friends at Chez-Nous . He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Bella (nee Auger). Omer enjoyed working at the Transcona Shops for CN Rail for 30 years. He was an avid sports fan and had season tickets for many of the local sports teams. Omer also was a very proud member of the Norwood Council of the Knights of Columbus. The family would like to thank all the medical staff that has taken care of our brother over the years. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc Street, with Father Lucien Roy officiating. Burial will follow at the Belgian Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
