NORMAN RONALD STRIEMER On Friday August 31, 2007 after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather, Ron, at the age of 68 years. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Mary; his sons, Barry and Jason (Christine and sons, Andrew, Nathaniel, and Matthew); his brother Irvine (Inez); sister Mary (Clive) Cracknell; brother-in-law Pete Leiding (Janice), as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by both parents, Peter and Maria, and step-mother Maria. The family extends its appreciation to Dr. Wong and the staff at CancerCare at the St. Boniface Hospital for their incredible care and compassion. Cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's name may be made to St. Boniface Hospital CancerCare Research, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, R2H 2A6.
