DARLEEN LYNNE CADOTTE (POPEL) Peacefully, after a courageous and lengthy battle, we are sad to announce the passing of Darleen at St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday, September 2, 2007, at the early age of 52. Darleen will be dearly missed by her husband Larry, son Cory and grandson Dustin, parents Ed and Carole Popel, brothers, Richard, Curtis and James and their families, plus aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. From an early age Darleen was very creative and crafting was an important hobby for her. Friends were also very important to her including many pen pals from around the world. At the age of 15 she was one of the finalists in the Miss Teen Manitoba contest. Darleen graduated from Windsor Park Collegiate. Darleen had a fulfilling career for many years with Manitoba Mental Health where she also made many friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, at 1:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel located at 211 Regent Avenue West.
