Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALLACE EDWARD DROBOT It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father and grandfather Edward, on Saturday, September 1, 2007. Ed is survived by his daughters Tracey (Larry) Watson and Shannon Drobot; son Chris (Michelle) Drobot; grandchildren Dylan, Matt, Paige and Taylor; sisters Helen (Ted) Rozmus and Ruth Dyck; brothers Jack and Alex (Agnes) Drobot and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Carolyn in June, 2007; parents John and Elizabeth; brothers William, Nick, George, Bertie, Albert and Wilfred and; sisters Victoria, Frances, Dorothy and Kay. Edward was born in Selkirk, MB on July 8, 1932 and grew up in the Kirkness area. After leaving home at 16, he worked at various jobs in Winnipeg and Selkirk, retiring from Amsco Industries in 1992 after nearly 30 years of employment with the company. Retirement allowed him more time for golfing, fishing, hunting, travelling with Carolyn and puttering around in his garage and yard. Our dad was provider for his family - making sure we had more opportunities to reach our goals and dream than he ever had. Edward's greatest delights in life were his grandchildren. Cremation and a private interment have taken place. Family and friends are invited to an informal Come and Go Gathering on Saturday, September 8 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the St. Clements Church Hall on St. Clements Drive, south of Selkirk. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Lindenschmidt and staff at the Selkirk Hospital for the care and compassion given to Edward and our family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
