VICTOR GALKA August 5, 1921 - September 3, 2007 It is with deep sadness, that the family of Victor Galka announces his passing at his home on Monday, September 3, 2007, at the age of 86 years. Victor was born in Melrose, Manitoba, where he grew up, married Kay and raised his family. He took much pride in working in construction for over 46 years, along with working on his farm. In his younger days, he loved to entertain and enjoyed a good card game. Victor and Kay both worked extremely hard and always set a good example for their children. He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Anastasia; a brother, Walter; and sisters, Nellie, Frances, Emily, Jenny and Henrietta. Victor will be greatly missed by his wife Kay of 57 years; children, Elaine (Terry), Michael (Patti), Cathy (Glenn), Janice and Robert; his grandchildren, Travis and Carrie; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Cooks Creek, Manitoba, with Father Martin Bradbury officiating.
