DONALD J. BOZEK 1938 - 2007 Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Monday, September 3, 2007 after a brief battle with cancer. Don leaves behind his loving wife of 45 wonderful years, Margaret; children, Lisa and John; their spouses, Garth and Liz; and grandchildren, Sam and Oliver. He is also survived by his brother Reg and wife Lydia, their children, Don, Chris, and Gail; sister Kathy, her children, Holly and Andy, and in-laws, Doreen and Don, their children, T'ai, Zana, and Suzie. Don was always quick to share a laugh and a silly joke, and his countless dear friends are a testament to his generosity and warmth. With his boundless energy and extensive skills, Unkie the Handyman touched many lives. His motto was places to go, things to do and there was no slowing him down. His love of travel took him around the world, but his favourite destination was the campsite at Caliper Lake, Ontario. An active member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Don has served as President of the Men's Club, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and on boards of directors of the Winnipeg Catholic Foundation and the St. Raphael Centre. In lieu of flowers, Don's wish was for donations to be made to St. Raphael Centre, c/o St. Bernadette Parish. Don's final days at home were made comfortable with the kind assistance of the Palliative Care nurses. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd., with Father Fred Olds officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn.
