Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW (ANDY) JOHNSON It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Andrew (Andy) Johnson on Monday, September 3, 2007. Andy is survived by his wife Norma; son Brad (Erin); daughter Michelle Carroll (Ron), and grandson Justin. Also left to mourn his passing are his parents Eigill and Evelyn Johnson; brothers, Harold (Karen), Leslie (Eileen), Sam (Karla), Raymond; sisters, Maureen Thompson (Craig), Darlene Gallichon (Curtis) and brother-in-law Greg Stevens, as well as Norma's family: Florine Campbell (Charles), Lois Rozak (Glenn), Lyal Egilson (Melissa), and Rob Egilson (Christine). He was predeceased by sister Lillian, brother Cecil and Norma's parents Jim and June Egilson. He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends who were all special to him. Andy was born in Grand Rapids on November 29, 1947 and dedicated his life to northern Manitoba and it's people. He worked tirelessly for community betterment, training opportunities for aboriginal people and bridging the communication gap between communities and establishment. Andy will be missed by the many people he met along his path. He traveled endlessly and always took time to stop and visit friends and family along the way. Andy was a true friend and will hold a place in the hearts of many. Following retirement from Manitoba Hydro, Andy spent his time at moose camp, enjoying friends and traveling. He had the knack of making everyone around him feel like the most important person in the room. His time spent with his grandson Justin was his most treasured time of all. His family was always his top priority. A memorial service will be held at the Dauphin First United Church on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Andy's memory can be made to Frontier Fiddlers (Frontier School Division), Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
