RICHARD JOSEPH FRANK LABELLE It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Richard LaBelle on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Richard was born in Winnipeg on July 11, 1939. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia (nee Sitka); his parents, Victor and Josephine; sister Bertha; brothers, Rene, Arthur, George, Edward (Tess) and Donald. Richard is survived by his son Jeff and granddaughter Amber; his daughter Jody (Jason) Kehler. Richard also leaves to mourn his brother Roland (Irene); sisters, Evelyn (Emile), Doris (Larry), Shirley (Bill) and Janet; his sister-in-law Arlene; his mother-in-law Mary Sitka, and brother-in-law Mervin (Bernice), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends. During Richard's lifetime he had many different careers, from warehouseman to salesman. Anyone who knew Richard knew he was a true gentleman and a man of integrity who valued his family and friends above all. The family would like to thank Dr. Warrian and the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for the excellent care and compassion. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Rd., with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow, and a private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or The Canadian Cancer Society.
