VIVIAN LUCILLE BLACK (nee ARTHUR) It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Vivian on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 77 years. Remaining to forever cherish Vivian's memory are her son Allan (Brenda); daughter Linda (Neal); grandchildren Rory, Kurtis, Joel and Jillian; sister Audrey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bob in 2006; parents Leona and Charles Arthur; and siblings Jean and Raymond. Vivian was involved for many years with the St. James Assiniboia Figure Skating club as an instructor and judge. She was also an active member of the St. James Assiniboia Opti- Mrs. Vivian was nominated for Woman of the Year to acknowledge her devotion to these organizations. Over the years Vivian and Bob took many Cruise vacations to destinations all over the world. She took a huge interest in the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and was a season ticket holder for over 25 years. In compliance with Vivian's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held, and a small family service will take place at a later date. Special thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital for their care and compassion during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vivian's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.
