Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY W. MALKOSKE October 5, 1927 - September 6, 2007 On Thursday, September 6, after a hard fought battle with cancer, Henry passed into the arms of Jesus at Ste. Anne's Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Marie; his son Jim and his children, Elizabeth (Todd, and great-grandchildren, Layne and Evangelene) and Matthew (Brandy, and great-grandchild Darean); son Glenn (Carolien, and grandchildren, Brett, Carla and Tyler); daughter Adrienne (John, and grandchildren, Derek and Kendal); son Merwyn (Jan, and grandchildren, Keegan and Holly); and daughter Alyson (Mitch, and grandchildren, Jillian and Joel. Henry was predeceased by his parents William and Julianna; his brother Adolf; his sisters, Wanda and Elsie (Adolf); and one daughter, Kimberley, in infancy. Henry was born in October 1927 at potato-picking time. He grew up in Whitemouth where he met and married Marie in 1951. At that time he began working for Manitoba Hydro and spent 37 years with Hydro in Birtle, Steinbach, Winnipeg, and Selkirk. He retired in 1988 and moved to Paradise Village in Ste. Anne. Henry was a devoted Christian and lifetime member of the Lutheran Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and brother. His family, friends and colleagues knew Henry for his compassion, caring, sincerity and humour. He remained positive and never lost his sense of humour throughout his illness. Above all, Henry loved his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent many wonderful years traveling with Marie. His yard was his pride and joy. During his retirement he researched and compiled a detailed history of our family. The family would like to thank Dr. Lemoine and the staff at Ste. Anne's Hospital, Pastor Maier, and Palliative Care for their care and compassion, and the many wonderful friends and family who were there for support. A memorial service to celebrate Henry's life will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 465 Henry Street, Box 1618, Steinbach, Manitoba, R5G 1N3, at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2007. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Benevolence Fund, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, or charity of your choice. A private family interment will take place. Henry's faith in God was his constant companion. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
