DOROTHY DOREEN KLASSEN (nee WAHL) On Thursday September 6, 2007 with her loving family by her side Dorothy Doreen Klassen of Winnipeg aged 62 years. Dorothy was born in Altona MB on December 1, 1944, the eldest child and only daughter Cornie and Helen Wahl. In her adult years she met Henry Klassen and in 1966 they married and began their life in the little town of Altona. August 1967 came and their first child Brian was born. In May 1969 after a year in Winnipeg their daughter Donna was born. Winnipeg became home for Dorothy for most of her life, raising her children, and toiling in the workforce to provide for her family. She enjoyed going to Church at Morrow Gospel, Grant Memorial and most recently Church of the Rock. Dorothy struggled with her health in the last few years of her life, and as much as she wanted to go to church she was not able. Left to morn her passing are her children, Brian, Donna Santos (Alberto) and their father Henry Klassen; grandchildren, Ryan, Brittiney and Melissa; mother Helen Wahl; brothers Albert Wahl (Diane), Reg Wahl (Doreen), and Ken, also many nieces nephews and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her father Cornie Wahl in 2001. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd. with viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow in the Mennonite Memorial Gardens Winnipeg. Mom we all will miss you, but you're at peace and free from pain. . . till we meet again.
