VIOLET ELIZABETH MAY STENSON (nee GOWLER) May 15, 1918 - September 7, 2007 It is with great sadness that we the family of Violet announce her passing on September 7, 2007 in her 89th year at the Grace General Hospital. Mom was predeceased by her husband Stanley, on January 2, 1998; her daughter Brenda, and her grandson Daniel. Violet will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marlene (George) of Kelowna BC, Ed (Adeline), Joyce (Dan), Wayne of Minnedosa, Garth, Jim (Elsie), Susan and Doris. Many grandchildren; great-grandchildren, extended family and friends will also miss her. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave, with a viewing one half hour prior, and an interment and reception to follow. Special thanks to the staff at Tuxedo Villa Station 1 where mom resided for nine years. Also, thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital I.C.U. and 5 North for their excellent care, and Dr. Martin who walked us through these difficult days.
