MARGARET EVELYN WHITLAW (nee JOHNSON) Peacefully, on September 9, 2007 Margaret passed away at Golden West personal Care home. Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Richard, and their children Scott (Nancy), Brian (Margaret), and Lois. Grandchildren, Jacquie and Sammie Foreman, Byron, Jane, Alyssa, Erik, and Teagan. Born June 29, 1934 in Piney, MB, the seventh of eight children born to Jon and Olena Johnson. She is survived by Sigmar, Valdine, Carl, and Rosemary, and was predeceased by Sigga, Laura, and Harold. Margaret was hugely proud of her family, and of her Icelandic heritage. She tirelessly visited her in-laws, and loved the people of Deloraine. Margaret was an excellent cook, baker, and knitter, her cookies were a source of delight to children and grandchildren her shawls and sweaters kept them warm. Her talents as a bookkeeping machine operator were appreciated by National Motors, Beaver Lumber, B.F. Goodrich, and others. The family thanks the staff of Golden West Lodge for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held at Golden West Lodge , 811 School Road, on Wednesday September 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
