ZENA IRENE FORSYTH (nee STOROZYNSKI) (STOREY) (GODFREY) With deep sadness the family of Zena announce her passing. Mum passed away peacefully on September 6, 2007 at Fairview Home, her residence for the past 3 years. Mum was born May 8, 1922 in the Municipality of Hillsburg, near the Roblin area to Philip and Catherine Storozynski. She moved to Winnipeg at an early age with her father, step-mother and brother Taras. In early years she was reunited with her mother and brought into a blended family with many other siblings. Her schooling was done in the North End of Winnipeg. Mother was very gifted in voice, dance and musical ability. She participated in many musical groups especially with the church. She was terribly proud of her Ukrainian Heritage. She tried to instill some of this culture into her girls. Mum married the love of her life, Donald Forsyth in June of 1974 and they moved to Riding Mountain to become Country Folk. They enjoyed this lifestyle until Don's passing in March 1989. They traveled extensively saying that the best trip was the Alaskan Holiday they took on their honeymoon. After Don passed away, Mum moved to Neepawa where she became a city girl again. She did enjoy the visiting and hustle and bustle of town life. She moved to Shilo in 1998 to live with her daughter Barbara after a debilitating stroke. She then moved to Fairview Home in 2003 and her life took on another challenge. Her quiet manner endeared her to all the staff. Mum was predeceased by her parents, Philip Storozynski, Catherine Sinclair; her beloved husband Donald; brothers, George, Don, Ron and Archie Sinclair, sisters, Isabella and Helen, stepson Norman. She is survived by brother Taras Storey; sister Catherine Whitman (Lin) and four daughters, Barbara (Tom) Gibson, Linda (Don) Thompson, Phyllis Godfrey, Teresa (Harvey) Weiss and daughter-in-law Joan (George) Vadas. Grandchildren, Jodi (Rich), Scott (Michelle), Robert, Kathy (Lance), Neal, Daniel, Lauren, John (Leah), Kyle. Great Grandchildren Ahna, Tyler Jenna, Megan, Gary.
