LILY PATRICIA WOOLLEY 1916 - 2007 Peacefully on September 9, 2007, Lily (Pat) Woolley passed away at Lions Personal Care Centre. Auntie Woo leaves to mourn her passing her beloved nieces, Sheelagh (Bob), Joyce (Stuart) and Mary; her great-nephews Sean (Tracy), Quinn (Jolene), Chris (Erin), and Matthew; great-nieces Shannon (Jamie), Megan (Joe) and Kelly (J. R.); great-great nephews Jessie and Logan; great-great nieces Taylor and Keesha; brother-in-law David Knight and her long time devoted friend Betty Peddie. Lil was a major in the armed forces during the Second World War. On returning home she attended university to prepare for a career in social work. She retired from the U of M as an associate professor in the school of social work in 1980. Pat played the violin for many years with the St. James Pops Orchestra and one of her favorite pastimes was travelling with her friend Hal. She will be remembered for her lifelong commitment to St. Matthew's Church, its outreach programs, particularly the refugee committee, and her untiring dedication to community service. A memorial service with reception to follow will be held at St. Matthew's Church, 641 St. Matthew's Ave., on Friday September 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Matthew's Church, 641 St. Matthew's Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3G 0G6. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
