CANDACE HEATHER VAN SOMER (nee GRAPENTINE) March 14, 1955 September 6, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Candace Heather Van Somer. She passed away at the age of 52. She was predeceased by her father John Grapentine and is mourned by her mother Mary Grapentine, her husband of 29 years Charles, her daughter Christina Van Somer and son David Van Somer, her brother Byron (Patty) Grapentine, her stepdaughter Cathy (Maurice) Hennebury, and many other friends and family. She was an amazing woman who was the embodiment of compassion. She always had a kind word, a warm smile and unending love for those who surrounded her. She was known by many as a second Mother who made sure that everybody was walking down the right path. We will always miss you A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. at The Royal Canadian Legion, Ft. Garry Br. # 90, 1125 Pembina Hwy.
