ALLELUIA (LOU) COTE (nee DECELLES) Peacefully, on September 11, 2007 at Taché Centre, Alleluia (Lou) Coté passed away with family at her bedside. Lou was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Alphonse, in 1986 and an infant daughter, Yvonne, in 1939; brothers, Joseph, Edgar, Florent; sister Solange Normandeau: and four sons-in-law, Paul Degagne, Bill Blum, Alan Lane, John Sportak. Mom will be dearly missed by daughters, Jeannette (Rene) Degagne, Lucille Degagne, Laurette Blum, Gertrude Sportak, Gilberte (Bart) Wyatt, Edith Anderson and sons, Gerard (Mary), David (Anne), Roger (Val), Hubert (Anna); brother Emilien and sisters, Therese Desrosiers, Marie Louise Boily and Olive Decelles and sister-in-law Laurence Decelles. Born in St. Marthe, Saskatchewan, Lou moved to LaBroquerie after her marriage in 1936 and lived there until 1957 when the family moved to St. Boniface. Mom's amazing kitchen always had enough chairs and food for everyone who dropped in. There was always time to play cards, share a cup of coffee and chat with her many nieces, nephews, friends and any one of her 40 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Mom was a master card player, a whiz at puzzles, lucky at bingo, and a cagey scrabble opponent until she become ill. She could sew a wardrobe for her girls overnight and when she wasn't knitting scarves, mitts and socks she designed and stitched quilts for family members. The family thanks the staff at the Convalescent Home and Taché Centre for their loving care during the last months of Lou's life. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Precieux Sang Church, 200 Kenny St. with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery on Hwy. #1 at Navin Rd., with a reception to follow in the Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald St. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to the charity of your choice are welcome. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
