EDWARD WASIO Peacefully following a brief hospital stay, at Selkirk General Hospital, on September 12, 2007, Mr. Edward Wasio, aged 65 years of East Selkirk. Ed was recently diagnosed with cancer in February 2007. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Ann Wasio. He is survived by his sister Margaret; brother Jim (Audrey); nephew James and niece Vanessa (Gordon). He was a hard working and dedicated former employee of Canada Packers and the Manitoba Rolling Mills. Ed faced many formidable challenges in his life due to an accidental childhood brain injury. He confronted adversity with a fierce independence, relentless courage, dignity and dauntless determination. Upon Ed's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Thank you to George, also to Margaret Thorburn for their unwavering support and to the staff at S.G.H. for their excellent care. Rest in Peace Ed. We will miss you.
