LINDA GAIL OWEN (nee HARDY) After a short illness, on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, Linda Owen, aged 64 years, beloved wife of Jim Owen of Carman, Manitoba, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. Besides her loving husband Jim, Linda leaves to cherish her memory her son Brent (Bonnie), her daughter Sherryl and special friend Rodney, and her two grandchildren, Carly and Ryan. Linda is also survived by one brother Barry (Lois) Hardy of Elm Creek, one sister Katherine Brad of Winnipeg, two sisters-in-law, Myrna Hardy of Swan River and Lynda Hardy of Winnipeg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Cecil (1983) and Irene (2003) Hardy, and two brothers, Dennis and Leslie Hardy. Mom enjoyed many activities throughout her life, but she really enjoyed spending time on the golf course, and camping with family and friends. She enjoyed wintering down in Texas and meeting new friends. She held a special place in her heart for her family and loved every opportunity to see and spend time with her children and grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman United Church, with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. Interment will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery Columbarium. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
