DIANA LEE COSSETTE May 26, 1963 - September 12, 2007 It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of Diana Cossette. After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, on September 12, 2007, at the age of 44. She leaves to mourn her only loving daughter Alexandria. Diana will be sadly missed by her foster family, father Tom Morris, brother Tommy, sister Sharon, nieces, Tanyss (daughter Isabella) and Tamara (son Riley). Diana will be immensely missed by her extended foster family, Nadia (Nanny) and Jack Rupert. Siblings, Diane (daughter Breanne), Jeff and Gordon. Diana will also be greatly missed by her truly closest friends, Wendy, Shannon, Shiela and the Trimble family. Along with many others. She was predeceased by her foster mother Isabel and foster sister Linda. Diana was born in Calgary, Alberta, in 1963. At a young age she was placed with the Morris family here in Winnipeg, MB. At the age 18, Diana met her dear friend Diane Rupert and was introduced to friends that soon became family. At the age of 19 she moved in with the Rupert's and has been a part of the family ever since. Diana, a very intelligent women attended university and college. Where she graduated with a diploma and numerous certificates. She's had many great jobs, but from when her illness begun 17 years ago she was unable to uphold her many positions throughout the years. But has made many great friendships that are still strong to this day. Cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to 669 Clifton Street, Winnipeg, MB R3G 2X5. We would like to extend our sincere thank you to all nurses and staff for the kindness and comfort they have given my mother Diana at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Ward.
